This afternoon we made a trip to the dog park. It's a really nice gated park on a lake about 10 minutes away. It's specifically for dogs where they can run around without a leash. Dewey loves it there. Marlee, not so much.
Duncan actually ended up meeting us there since he got out of work a little early. I brought a sheet for us to sit on but Calleigh naturally spent most of the time off the blanket crawling around in the grass. The park is so big that you really don't have to worry about a bunch of dogs crowding you or stomping on a baby for that matter. Calleigh enjoyed looking at the dogs and feeling the grass on her legs but I think she was most excited about figuring out how to get the lid off the container of puffs. She found the container in the bag and grabbed it. She then put it to her mouth and the top came off between her little teeth. I put the top back on and then she pulled it off by hand. She was pretty pleased as you can see in the picture.
This morning we were able to spend a little time with Kelly and Steve before they left for Tampa. They're going over there for Steve's grandmother's 95th birthday. Wow! Steve is flying home from Tampa so we won't be seeing him again. Kelly leaves from here on Tuesday morning. They brought their luggage downstairs with them to go and Calleigh immediately noticed that there something new to investigate in her little domain. So she was all over it.
For lunch, Calleigh had some spagettios. This was by far the messiest thing she's ever eaten. Judge for yourself. It took some good scrubbing to get that off let me tell you. I had a good size bib on her but some still landed on her collar and sleeve.
We were getting ready to go to the park after she ate and I saw her stained clothes and I thought "Boy, I should probably change her before we go out in public." Then I thought about how she doesn't particulary like to be changed (she screams when she has to lie on her back) and I decided it was just too much of a hassle. Thankfully, nobody approached us at the park to see my messy baby.Have a happy Sabbath!

I love the picture of her with her hand in the container. It's priceless.
