Calleigh has been eyeing the bananas and peaches that have been sitting on the counter for the last couple of days. She calls the bananas "ba" and the peaches "ball." Pretty much anything small and round is called a ball.
After we ate breakfast yesterday, I took one of the peaches and started eating it while we were sitting on the floor in the living room. Naturally, this garnered her attention and she came over to investigate. I offered her a little taste and the next thing I knew, she had taken the peach right over. She sucked on that thing for a good 10 minutes and I finally took it away because I thought she was going to get down to the pit. So apprently she really like peaches!Nothing too exciting has been happening the last few days. I've been doing a lot of work actually because the hospital is having a big meeting at the Corporate office next week called the "Bake Off." It's when we submit our requests for capital. We want to do a lot more expansion over the next few years. At any rate, since I'm the one that keeps track of capital, I've had to put together a bunch of schedules.
Calleigh had a little incident this afternoon. I put her down for her nap and about 10 minutes later, I heard a big cry. It seemed a little more urgent than her normal "I'm restless" cry.
I looked at the monitor and everything seemed normal but I went up. It turns out her leg was stuck between two bars in the crib. Poor little dear. Thankfully I got it out pretty easily but then she was still keyed up and didn't want me to leave. I held her for a little while and then put her back in the crib. She wasn't happy about that but finally fell asleep. The result was that she only slept for about 45 minutes (I always wake her up at 4:15 so she won't have trouble falling asleep at night) so she was a bit cranky this afternoon. Yeah, I know this picture has nothing to do with this section but I thought it was cute. We're having a massive challenge with our internet right now. It's constantly going down. It won't work for like 5 minutes and then it works again. Then 10 minutes later, it goes down again. And so on and so forth. It's been doing this for about the last two weeks. We've been through this before and eventually it seems to get straightened out but it is SO frustrating. We are on the internet more than I would like to admit so this is a major problem for us. Not to mention that I can't work if the internet doesn't work. Duncan called them tonight and they said we could exchange our modem for a new one. Hopefully that will do the trick. If not, we're going to see about switching to DSL through the phone line but it's more expensive and not as fast. But I suppose I would trade "not as fast" for "more reliable" at this point.
Right now I'm sitting here watching the Celtics and Lakers in Game 1 of the finals. It's hard to believe that it's been 21 years since the Celtics have been in the finals. I remember being a fairly big Celtics fan (although not on the same level as the Sox, Pats, and B's) when I was a kid. I can clearly remember Len Bias and Reggis Lewis dying. It was never the same after Lewis died. Anyway, the Celtics are the underdog here and I'm hoping that can fuel their fire. I sure hate to see them lose to Kobe, who, on all accounts, seems to be a real jerk. The Sports Guy talks about this in his finals preview.Well, it's half time so I'm off to the tub to soak my toe. I hurt the second toe on my left foot when I ran into the loveseat. It's bloody and soar but I think a tub will help.

1.) I thought you got rid of the phone line??
2.) I am not sure I would even classify you as a "fairly big Celtics fan" growing up. I know that I really wasn't all that big a one - maybe because they were on Sports Channel, which we did not have!
1. I believe that you don't have actually have phone service to use your phone line for the internet.
2. That's why I said "fairly" instead of just "big." And I said it wasn't along the same lines as the other sports. However, I must say that I do remember watching quite a few games in Reggie Lewis's hayday of the early 90's when other players like Dee Brown, Rick Fox, Kevin Gamble, etc. were on the team.
Calleigh always looks so cute no matter what she is up to. Just checked the "graphic" post. So glad Duncan cleaned up that absolutely gross hairball.
