You can officially count me off the Red Sox band wagon. I know, I know. I should have more faith in my team but there isn't anything that gives me hope that this series isn't over. It will take a real miracle in my opinion. Let's face it - - they have no pitching right now.
Yesterday Calleigh and I went to story time at the library. It's funny because Calleigh is usually so outgoing wherever we are but for some reason, when she gets in that little room for story time, it's like she's in a trance. She barely looks at anyone except the teacher. The only thing that brings her to life is at the end when they bring out all the bubbles. Boy, does she love the bubbles! She runs all over the room trying to catch them.
As I've mentioned in previous posts, Calleigh is obsessed with looking at herself on my computer. When either Duncan or I are on our computer, she comes running over. So last night, Duncna had his computer on his lap and Calleigh demanded to sit next to him to see "Baby Calleigh." Usually Duncan would bring up Flickr where we upload all of our videos but the videos weren't working. So to appease Calleigh, he brought up a Veggie Tales video on YouTube. Duncan put the computer on her lap and you can see what happened in this video of it.
This morning, I took Calleigh to the playground just down the street. It's only in the low 80s these days so it has been fairly bareable to be outside. The playground was empty except for a 2-year old boy so Calleigh quickly made friends with him and followed him every where. Once he left, a little white dog named Chelsea (great name for a dog!) came by so Calleigh re-focused on her. Finally, another little girl came with her mother and grandparents but she just wanted her mother to hold her. So Calleigh just hung on the mother's hem waiting for the little girl to come down and play. That never happened so it was on the slide for some distraction!
Calleigh has now gotten tall enough that she can just barely grasp the door handle enough to be able to close doors from the outside (pulling it closed rather than pushing it from inside). So it has become a favorite activity. If I'm sitting in her room, she'll go outside, grab the door, say "See ya" to me and then close it. Of course, with in a few moments, she starts banging on the door and yells "Open" and then the cycle begins again!

Uh-oh! Get her off the VeggieTales immediately!
And I noticed that the picture you have of Calleigh watching the Red Sox is actually of them playing the Angels.
Good eye with the Angels. Actually, it wasn't really the Angels game. The picture was taken on Monday and I think at the moment I snapped it, they were showing some footage from the Angels series.
Don't worry aboutthe VeggieTales. That is the only time she's watched them and I have no intention for their being more. At least for a long time.
She is so smart - she's really putting together the words and their meanings now!! It's so exciting to see her growing day by day!!
