Picture: David and I at the Red Sox game Sunday night when they had guys on 1st and 2nd in the 7th inning with one out.
I know it's been a long time since my last post. I seem to be unusually busy. But really, the reason I'm behind is because of Sunday night when I went to Game 7 of the ALCS. I had no intentions whatsoever of going to the game (thinking that tickets would be astronomical) but I was awakened from my Sunday afternoon nap by a call from Shannon saying they found cheap tickets. So after I spent at least an hour on the phone purchasing the tickets - - which came to $37/piece after all the surcharges - - we were on our way to St. Pete. The other six were Shannon, Toni, Megan, David, Ron, and Elaine.
Last night I wanted to get caught up on the blog and some sleep but then the Patriots were playing. And as it turns out, I'm pretty busy right now with work stuff so I needed to work last night and even a little bit tonight when I finish this.
I'm trying to think of anything else that's noteworthy from the last few days...Well, one thing is that Calleigh has started eating whole apples.
Also, Calleigh has started her Christmas list and at the top is a wagon. Yesterday we went to story time at Leu Gardens. Afterwards, we went outside where all the other mothers went with their kids. There must be at least 100 kids that go to this thing. Anyway, we were running around the grass, looking at flowers, airplanes, etc. when Calleigh stumbled across a little Radio Flyer wagon that someone had brought. She was intrigued. She leaned over it and played with the straps for about 10 minutes and then finally figured out she was big enough to crawl in it. Then she went back and forth between the two seats and put the seat backs up and down over and over again. She wasn't pleased when we had to leave.
Another thing that she's doing now is something she learned in story time at the library. She suddenly just started doing it on Sabbath even though we last heard it a week ago Monday. She puts her hands up, opens them and says "Open" and then closes them and says "Shut." Again, she'll do this over and over again with a little giggle.
Okie, dookie. I know there is so much more I could say but I'm tired and there is more to do tonight not the least of which is to take a bath in my tub that Duncan has temporarily fixed.
