And now for Part 2 of the wedding festivities...I mentioned how well the girls did but I would be remiss if I didn't mention the bride and groom! Yully was stunning as expected. She's a really beautiful girl and she looked almost fairy tale like in her gown. I can only imagine the thrill David must have felt standing up there and seeing her for the first time. That is an amazing moment. I pity the people who take pictures together before the wedding. Anywho, the ceremony was very nice. My dad did the sermonette and the vows. I think the highlight of the whole thing was when Dave sang a song to Yully. It wasn't in the program and I don't think any of us, especially Yully, were expecting it so that pretty neat.
After the ceremony, we stuck around for awhile for family pictures and then also the girls were in the pictures of the wedding party. Poor Tim. I felt bad for him trying to get them to look at the camera, let alone, smile at the same time. Hopefully he got at least one shot. There were just so many distractions it was nearly impossible for them to pay attention.
The whole Latimer clan (less Shawn, Camille, and Camden who had left to put Camden down for a nap)
The reception was down at a restaurant called Bice (it's Italian) at the Portofino Bay Hotel. That is where Dave proposed so it's a special spot for them. It was a very entertaining afternoon with many people singing and of course, eating. I thought the food was top notch. It was rather difficult to actually sit and enjoy the meal since Aubree just can't sit still that long but when I did eat, I was pleased. Just like Devin and Leigh's wedding, Calleigh spent most of her time roaming around, visiting people, and talking to other kids. We did have a bit of a problem with her at the end. We needed to get going because my dad had to take Shawn to the airport and Camden's car seat was in the car. We needed to switch it to our van. The parking was a long way from the restaurant so we thought it would be easier to all leave together. We had finished the gelato and just as we were getting up to go, the waiter puts a giant piece of chocolate wedding cake in front of Calleigh who obviously digs right in. I let her take about six bites and then I told her we had to go (she had just had two scoops of gelato...it's not like she hadn't had a treat so I didn't consider this to be torture). Well, that caused a giant meltdown. We quick got her out of there and started towards the car. As we start walking, who walks by but a family of "little people" (I'm not sure if that's the politically correct term so please forgive me if it's not). There were two parents and I think they were pushing the kids around in some sort of scooter or fancy stroller of some sort. Of course, Calleigh is completely intrigued by these people. She stops in her track and just stares. Can you say uncomfortable?? I tell her we need to go and then she says to me (thankfully out of their earshot, I believe), "What are those things?" I say, "Those are people." And she says, "No, no, they aren't." I'm flabbergasted at this. I didn't know what to say so I just picked her up and kept walking. I relayed it to Duncan a short time later and he told me that she was merely looking at the scooter contraption and that's what she was asking about, not the midgets. Major relief.
My only picture of the two of them in their dresses. Not the best but it's all we have.

The four girl cousins. Can you tell which one is preggo? Please don't post your answer in case it's wrong!
Just before we left and the screaming ensued...
Even not having a binky couldn't keep her awake. Those flower girl duties sure wear a body out.

We made it home and then it was clean up time. Everyone was coming here at the conclusion of the reception so that we could do a surprise baby shower for Marcela. This would be the last time most of us would see her before the baby comes in October. Due to the high risk nature of the pregnancy, she won't be able to travel to Nova Scotia or to Shannon's wedding in September. We did pull of the surprise so that was neat. We probably had about 30 people here and I have to say I think it's the most people I've ever had in my house. It was great! We ordered some pizzas and had a great time. Calleigh and Mia hung out a lot and even took a bath which I couldn't get them out of. Then right at the end, Calleigh locked herself in the downstairs bathroom where she remained trapped for a good seven or eight minutes. You would think that if she knew how to lock it she could figure out how to unlock it but Duncan ended up having to remove the know. But clearly it was much less stressful then when she did the same thing awhile back (in her room). The funny thing is that I recently removed the child proof knob on it because every time an adult would go in there, they could never figure out how to get the door open!
Monday morning my parents left for a very early flight but thankfully Ricky stepped up and took them. We got to hang out with Camille and Camden for most of the day until I took them to the airport around 5 pm. It was hard to say goodbye to them after having them for a whole week. It was so much fun having them around and I started daydreaming about what it would be like if we lived near each other and not 1,200 plus miles apart. Some day hopefully!
Calleigh was not with me on the airport run. Duncan's sister, Kristin, and her two boys, Derek and Tyler, and then Duncan's brother's wife, Diane, and her son Jake, drove down from Pennsylvania and arrived at Ron and Elaine's on Saturday afternoon. Understandably we didn't see them much over the weekend. I took the girls over Monday morning to swim and then they asked if Calleigh could go with them to Downtown Disney for the late afternoon and dinner. Thankfully she was able to squeeze in a little nap first and then they picked her up. She got home about 8:30 and had a bunch of new trinkets. She didn't seem to have any trouble keeping up with the three older boys.
Let's see, what else happened this week. Tuesday we did story time, Wednesday I went to the dentist for a cleaning while the girls were over with the boys at R&E's, and then yesterday we went to Yolanda's house to visit Emma. Her two older sisters were there as well since school is out. The five girls all played together and Emma's older sisters, Hannah (age 8) and Alyssa (age 5) couldn't keep their hands off Aubree. They kept wanting to hold her and play with her the whole time. It was pretty cute and Aubree didn't seem to mind. Their family is leaving for Spain on Monday for six weeks so we won't be seeing them for awhile obviously.
Today we did yard sale-ing and before I mention one of the interesting things about it, I should first mention that Calleigh has what I guess you would call an imaginary friend. Her name is Ire. I believe that Ire got her name from Ireland which is where my parents and other spent several weeks recently. Ire's information changes all the time so I can't really say much about her other than one minute she's four year old and then the next minute she's a teenager who has a driver's license. This evening I asked for clarification on what she looked like and Calleigh told me she has blue hair and blue eyes. I think a few days ago she had yellow hair and pink eyes so apparently she has an evolving look. So we're doing our sales and I told Calleigh that we were probably done but then I said "Oh, here's one more. Should we get out?" And Calleigh says, "Yes, we should because I need to get some things for Ire." We start looking at some clothes and the next thing I know, Calleigh is pulling shirts, sweaters, etc, off hangars because, as she informs me, "Ire needs these." Oh boy. Fortunately I was able to convince her that Ire didn't need them that badly and I was able to hang the stuff back up without a scene.
That covers what we've been up. The Pennsylvania contingent already left on Wednesday evening so it was just a short stay for them. Things are now officially back to normal in terms of visitors being around.
I'll touch on a few things about the girls. Aubree is doing well. As I mentioned, she's had no ill effects from the surgery although you can obviously see the mark from it clearly. I don't know if it will leave a scar...we'll wait and see. She slept in our room while we had house guests and we didn't hear two peeps from her. She's doing everything but walking on her own. She'll walk with you just hanging on to one hand and she pushes the push toys around like crazy but hasn't tried any steps on her own. She did stand for a few seconds by herself but as soon as she realizes what's going on, she sinks to the floor. I got excited a few days ago when I weighed her and she came in at about 19.65 lbs which is roughly 19 lbs, 10 oz. Only 6 more ounces to go and she graduates to the forward facing car seat. Yay! I think she must have tiny feet. She's still wearing size two sandals and I just finally got her into size three dress shoes for the wedding. I opened a box of 12 month clothes and found the outdoor shoes that Calleigh wore in Nova Scotia two years ago at the same age. They're size four so I don't think it's going to be happening for Aubree.
Aubree's first very own Popsicle. She definitely hit this milestone WAY before Calleigh :) Must be a second child!
I'll end here with some of my favorite Calleigh quotes/anecdotes from the last week:

I'll end here with some of my favorite Calleigh quotes/anecdotes from the last week:
- When I "tucked" Calleigh in on the night my parents were coming in, I told her how when she woke up, Papa and Gigi would be in the room with her. Her response was "Tell Gigi not to snore!"
- While we were at the rehearsal dinner, I was telling Calleigh about how the next day (Sunday) was a special day because not only were David and Yully getting married but it was also Father's Day. I asked her if she remembered how it had recently been Mother's Day. She then asked me "When is it going to be Girl's Day?"
- This one was relayed to me...At the rehearsal dinner, Calleigh was sitting next to Mia for a little while. As you can imagine, a three year old idolizes an eight year old. At one point, Mia had accidentally hit someone's fork with her elbow and the fork fell on the floor. Calleigh saw it happen and the next thing you know, Calleigh deliberately hits the person's fork next to her with her elbow so that it falls on the floor too. I think she was very serious about the whole thing. She wasn't doing it to be funny!
- Yesterday we were discussing Adam and Eve and their disobedience in eating the fruit. Calleigh asks me "Did they get a timeout?" Yeah, I guess they did.
- When Calleigh was on the potty recently, I was doing a few things in my room. Calleigh called out to me that she was done so I called back. "I'll be there in just a minute. I'm just wrapping things up." So Calleigh says "What is it? Is it something for Ire?" It took me a second but then I realized she took my quite literally. She thought I was wrapping a present. Sometimes you don't even realize how many expressions we have that kids can take to mean something entirely different.
The story behind this one is that she peed a little bit on the back of Devin's neck.
That's a wrap. Have a Happy Sabbath!

Your fourth story of Calleigh, the one on Adam & Eve, makes for a great, great sermon illustration, including your comment to it!
