I entertained Aubree as the minutes ticked by and then it occurred to me that Calleigh hadn't used the potty in a very long time and would she tell anyone if she needed to go? That would definitely be something that we hadn't dealt with yet. But I needn't have worried. About 35 minutes later, out trots a beaming Calleigh with a bunch of new trinkets and sporting a sticker that says "Flouride Bath. No food or drink for 30 minutes." They called us back to the blue room and Ashley and then Dr. Bertot filled me in. She was perfectly behaved and they got everything done. The good news was that she had no cavities but the bad news was that she has an extra upper front tooth. I know, how bizarre, right? I had never heard of it until Amy found out Zachary had the same thing. Apparently it's pretty common. The dentist said that if it comes in on it's own then they can remove it there but if it doesn't, she'll have to see an oral surgeon to get it removed. Obviously we'll have to wait a few years to see what way it goes. Despite that news, I was clearly pleased with how things went (what a difference a 6 -12 months makes. I'm sure Calleigh would have been bawling if she'd had to get this all done a year or so ago).
Yesterday one of Duncan's employees/friends, Albert and his wife Khlarisse, had their first baby. This was our chance to check out the Baby Place in Altamonte since I had never been in it before. After nap time we headed over and I was pleased to note that there was no sign on the door saying Calleigh and Aubree weren't allowed in so we were all able to traipse in. They had a girl which they named Sariah. She weighed 6 lbs, 8 oz so she was about the size of Aubree.
It was a short night last night. I got to bed pretty late thanks to staying up to watch the Celtics and then Aubree had a few little cries that kept me awake for awhile. It wasn't anything major - - just every now and then she would give a random cry that would last two seconds but it was just long enough to wake me up. Hopefully not to be repeated tonight.
Despite a little lack of sleep, I was up at 7:10 to start the day. We did our yard sales as usual and Calleigh made me chuckle. We hit up some yard sales on the way to the airport (which I'll elaborate on) so we were out of our usual territory. As I browsed around at this one particular one, I noticed a little girl arrive and soon after, Calleigh says to her "I saw you one time." I didn't pay much attention and just figured Calleigh confused her with one of the numerous kids she introduces herself too. But then a short time later, the mother comes over to me and says "Didn't we see you at a yard sale last week? It was the fundraiser in the cul-de-sac?" Turns out, we had! Well bust my buttons. Calleigh was right. She had somehow remembered the girl from the previous week.
We finished up our yard sales in time to go pick up Aunt Toni at the airport. Uncle Terry's father was getting a procedure done at the big house so she flew down here to be with them. She's just staying through until the wedding. We took her to the hospital and decided to stay for lunch at the cafe. We checked out the new Children's Hospital lobby and Calleigh thought it was great. It has a Disney theme and there are several interactive portions to it. I decided that instead of buying an $80 Disney ticket, we could just go there. And yes, I unfortunately had to remove her kicking and screaming. I bet they didn't think of that part of it when they designed it especially for kids.
After nap time, we went to Target to get a gift for a baby shower the girls and I are attending on Sunday morning for Magally Putt. We then stopped off at Ron & Elaine's for a dip in the pool. Duncan had gone on a bike ride and met us there. R&E were out of town in Chicago (returning this evening) but we made ourselves right at home and decided to have supper there.
That's all she wrote. Have a Happy Sabbath.

I'm so glad that you had a good experience there - it is always a relief when you give a recommendation and it turns out well! :) Isn't that just too crazy that both of our kids have an extra tooth in the front?! I had never heard of that before Zachary!
Om response to an earlier blog--no camera behind the piano. But still looking around.
Dad
Hmm, looks like your kids loved their first trips to the dentists, huh? That is an advantage for them. That means they will willingly have their checked by the dentist on a regular basis. And I'm sure Calleigh loved the cute Dora toothbrush she got as a reward. :)
