Although Aubree officially turned two months old on Sunday, we were a little late getting her two month picture. I guess that's what happens with the second kid. Fortunately Ron and Elaine stopped by on their bikes this afternoon and brought their camera and Ron was able to get some good shots. Yesterday we had a successful trip to the doctor and unbelievably, Aubree weighs one more ounce than Calleigh did at two months. I would never have guessed that considering that Calleigh had a head start of a pound and six ounces. Here are the numbers:
Aubree Calleigh
Weight 10 lbs, 8 oz (50th) 10 lbs, 7 oz
Length 22 3/4 inches (50 - 75th) 23 1/4 inches
Head 14 3/4 (75th) 15 3/4
Please excuse the formatting on this. I can't get it too stay lined up for some reason.
Part of the two month appointment is the first set of shots.
We decided to stagger the shots out instead of getting a bunch at a time. So she got two this time and she'll go back at three months to get one more and to take an oral vaccine. Usually you wouldn't get more until the next appointment at three months. Calleigh was very good through the whole visit - - so funny how she's not fazed in the least when she knows that Doctor Anne is checking on Aubree and not her. She watched the whole thing very intently (she stood on some stairs right next to the table so she was RIGHT there) and as soon as Doctor Anne started touching Aubree, Calleigh said to her very firmly, "She's delicate."
Calleigh's big thing over the last few days has been Play Doh. She had played with it a little up at Papa and Gigi's house. When I was at Walmart on Friday, I saw some as I turned one of the grocery corners and picked up a few cans of it. It's been a big hit and it's probably the thing that's held her attention more than anything else that I can think of.
We have all sorts of cookie cutters and some forks, plates, etc. that she uses with them. Her big thing is preparing "food" to serve on the plates. She is very hard to resist. Several times today I was doing something else (like cleaning the kitchen) and she came to me and said very sweetly as she smiled up at me "Mommy, do you want to come sit at my table?" which is code for asking if I'll come play Play Doh with her. And of course, I dropped what I was doing to go and eat a vegeburger that she served me on her tiny plate.
I guess that's the end of this short update. Have a good night.

That first picture is very cute of Aubree. And that first picture of Calleigh looks a lot like Camden, I think.
They are both so different and so cute!! What treasures!
I agree with Shawn--there is some similarity in their looks.
