We're Debt FREE!

Yippee!  As of last week, we no longer have any debt except for the mortgage. I won't go into the numbers on here but we've paid off a significant amount of debt in the last three years and it feels pretty darn good.  Yes, it's been tempting to buy a bigger and better house but we've stayed focused on Dave Ramsey's advice as far as the steps to financial freedom.

Things are back to normal here after our wonderful little vacation.  On Sabbath, we went to Clearwater church.  They had a very nice Sabbath School there for the girls so I'm glad we went.  That's Aunt Shirley's church so we sat with her during the church service.  After a relaxing late afternoon spent on the beach, we wrapped the day up with a stop for some ice cream.

Sunday morning we had to check out by 10 which was fine because we were on our way to Busch Gardens by 9.  Ron and Elaine stayed behind to do the clean-up (which was very nice of them).  I wasn't crazy about the thought of walking around Busch Gardens all day and thankfully, it didn't end up that way at all.  Because we were already in the area (and didn't have to do the hour and twenty minute drive to get there), we didn't feel compelled to spend a long time there.  We went to one show and then spent a few hours in the Sesame Street kids section.  The girls went on most of the rides and then the definite highlight was putting on their suits and hanging out in the splash fountains. And I was so incredibly impressed with Aubree!  She has come so far in a few weeks.  She was putting her face completely in the water that was spraying and laughed about it.  I was so happy to see that.  Anyway, we ate lunch about 1:30 at our favorite all you can eat cafe and then off we went for home.  Aubree slept the entire way back although Calleigh didn't fall asleep until about halfway (she had actually fallen asleep on the way from the condo to the park that morning).  So ended our mini vacation.  It was a truly wonderful time....I feel especially smug about it when I hear about all the poor weather up north.  Sorry guys!

Waiting for a show to start.  Despite how it appears here, the park was actually the busiest I've seen it.

Aubree must have run through this thing like 30 times.
Yesterday and today we had our swimming lessons and Calleigh was very excited to show Zoe that she could swim by herself.  She really did end up picking up where she left off on Friday and was swimming like crazy by herself.  We seriously have to keep our eye on her because she'll just randomly jump in.  We were trying to leave the pool and then next thing you know, she's jumping back in whether you're looking or not.  Doesn't bother her a bit to be by herself in there.  So it turns out that the reason Zoe missed our Thursday lesson was because our session didn't show up on her schedule for some reason and she had another session scheduled at that same time.  Oh well.  We now have make-up session for tomorrow and then a bonus one on Thursday.  I'm sort of ready to be done with these since they take up part of your morning when you're trying to do stuff but I know it's good for her.  Zoe is now having her focus on floating and then she's also having her put her face in the water as she's swimming.

Tomorrow morning we have another busy time with the lesson and then it's off to our 2- and 4-year old wellness appointments for the girls.  I'm curious to see their stats.  I have a feeling we'll be making a stop for ice cream just after as I know there are shots in their future.

I'll close here.  I'm off to prepare my to-do list.  I'm having a baby in two weeks and there appears to be much to do between now and then!

Thanks for the update even if it was shorter than ususal. Great to hear about your "debt free" status. If only I had . . .
Love,
Papa
