In other news, we've made minor progress in moving Aubree to Calleigh's room and preparing the baby room. We've moved the futon out of Calleigh's room to the downstairs (just too crowded to put it in the baby room) and put Calleigh's new big girl bed in her room. Duncan converted her toddler bed back into a crib and so for the past two nights, Aubree has slept in Calleigh's room....although I guess I could call it "their" room now. Since Calleigh hasn't taken a nap the last few days, it's worked out pretty well because they've both gone to sleep around 9:30 (this is after lights out at 8:30). I've still had Aubree napping in her room because Calleigh plays in her room during "quiet time" and I don't want to keep Aubree up. As far as the baby room, we now need to select some decor and I want to get a pull-out chair for the room. It's very important for me to have something I can sleep on in there since I'll spend many nights sleeping in there at the beginning.

So...what have we been up to? Let me think. Sabbath was just a regular day as I recall. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, although actually, we did go over to Markham Woods church in the evening to see David's men's chorus perform (well, at least we saw some of it). Sunday was Mother's Day so obviously, that was out of the ordinary. We went to First Watch as our usual, however. Boy, do we hate the Sunday holidays because then extra people are always invading our space by taking up tables and we have to wait. But, no matter. From there, Duncan took the girls to Sea World so I could have some time to myself. And was it nice! I took a short nap and then went out shopping to a few Goodwills. They got back at about 3:45 and as expected, both girls were conked out in their car seats so I went to the car to read some magazines while they slept. Duncan said they were really good and they had a great time with just the three of them. I finally woke them up because we had to scoot over to Ron & Elaine's for supper. Since the mothers didn't want to cook anything, we got take out from Macaroni Grill. Russ and Saray were there as well so it was a nice wrap up to the day.
Watching David perform. Yes, that's Duncan on his gadget. I do believe he did actually watch some of the performance.
Strange to see Calleigh on this ride without someone she knows. It makes her seem so grown up!

We had Calleigh's first official swimming lesson on Monday at noon. Just prior to that, we went to pick up the flower girl dresses from the lady doing the alterations. She was so sweet. When she answered the door (she works out of her home) she exclaimed "Oh, I've been looking forward to you picking these up because I couldn't wait to see the girls again. They just talk so much!" And it was true. They both talked up a storm to her and she was in awe of how they could just go on and on. She did a great job and now their dresses are wearable. The swimming lesson went well although at one point, Calleigh apparently had to do something she didn't want to do so she made a few feeble cries. I was playing outside with Aubree and I made a point to completely ignore Calleigh and sure enough, within a minute or two, she was over whatever it was and all was well again.
Monday night, Shannon arrived for the wedding festivities coming up. I was expecting to see something, her being like 18 weeks pregnant and all, but I could barely tell. I shouldn't talk, I suppose (although clearly, I've WELL past that stage. I think I look like I'm about to give birth anytime now). Anyway, Shannon stayed with us Monday night and spent the day with us yesterday and then went to Megan's last night to stay there the rest of the time. Calleigh had another swimming lesson in the morning (I went to a consignment store with Aubree so I wasn't there to spy on how things went but I hear it was good) and then we picked up Shannon to go to Old Navy and another kid's consignment store (I'm looking for a particular swing but had no luck).
Shannon sporting the "huge" belly...at least in her mind. She finds out the sex on May 20 .
This morning I had a doctor's appointment and I took the girls with me. I ran into a friend in the waiting room so that helped pass some of the wait time which was nice. Everything checked out great although I'm now up to 30 pounds of weight gain. I was hoping for 28 at this point but oh well. I now have to go for appointments on a weekly basis so I'll be seeing a lot of that place. After that, we went to Target to get a gift for Tiffany's bachelerotte party tomorrow night. Calleigh is having a hard time understanding why she can't go to this particular party but I'm not sure how to explain it without saying "because we're going to be giving her skimpy lingerie and talking about things that little ears shouldn't hear!"
Today was the last day of was really great deals at Publix so I was getting ready to head out the door after naptime when Duncan got home at an unexpectedly reasonable hour. He was kind enough to come with me again (I didn't scare him off on Friday apparently) and we had a very lucrative outing. We got a ton of stuff for only $8 and that included a bunch of fruit and other stuff I didn't even have coupons for. I was very excited. All I can say, Alison, is that I'm very sorry you don't have a Publix up where you are. In case anyone cares, the reason we're able to get it all so cheaply is because I have a $5 off Publix coupon, then you get $5 off if you buy a $50 American Express prepaid card (which are good pretty much anywhere) and then $10 off if you buy a $25 gas card (again, who doesn't buy gas so these are a no brainer). Duncan and I each used these three discounts so we saved a whopping $40 off our groceries combined ($20 off each). You can't beat that with a stick as they say.
In final news, we did pick a middle name for Brady, for those who haven't heard. It's Breton. We picked it for Cape Breton as in Nova Scotia. It's very meaningful to us for obvious reasons.
Finally, I'm posting a movie of the girls saying their memory verses. They've been doing an excellent job! Aubree has also memorized our phone number like Calleigh (we sing it to the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb) which I got on video but clearly, I'm not going to post that one.

Loved the video! Nothing makes a warmer feeling than hearing kids reciting Bible verses.
Papa
I'm very jealous of the Publix deals! And LOVE the middle name, by the way!
