Sabbath morning Calleigh awoke without a fever so praise the Lord! If she had one, I was seriously thinking about not going to church. We could probably have still gone to church but it seemed like it would be too cruel to go to church and then not get to go to Sabbath School afterwards. Fortunately we didn't have to make that decision. However, she still had a cough and somewhat of a drippy nose. Was she contagious? I do not know. Hopefully we aren't bad people for bringing a child in that condition to Sabbath School. Anyway, Ron and Elaine accompanied us to church so we had extra motivation to attend! Even though Pastor Derek wasn't there, it was still a nice Easter service.
Saturday evening we didn't do anything special. Duncan rented a DVD while I just surfed the web and tried to get up the energy to work on the baby room. Never did find the energy. Time is a-ticking and the progress has been very slow on the room. I still need to move my scrap booking stuff somewhere (after organizing it), find a new home for the file cabinet, and some other things. We still haven't bought a crib and dresser yet. And we also want to get a futon to replace the bed. Actually, we were going to try and get some of this stuff yesterday down at Ikea but because of Easter it closed early. I guess it will wait until next weekend.
The kids had a great time looking for the eggs and there were plenty to go around. We did notice that Calleigh wasn't in top form, however, probably because of whatever is ailing her. She was a little quieter than usual. And a few tears popped up. At one point, she headed out onto the golf course and tripped over something and spilled all of her eggs. This caused a flood of tears but she was quickly comforted and Daddy put all the eggs back in the basket for her.
Sunday evening (aka, last night), Shannon stopped by after work to catch up with us. She had been gone up to New Hampshire and Maine for about a week and had returned last Wednesday. However, she's worked 7-7 the last four days so we hadn't seen or heard from her during that time. She had a very nice time while she was up there and I'll leave it at that. Ha!
This morning Cal and I went to story time and I knew she still wasn't quite right because she didn't greet Mr. Bear with her usual enthusiasm. She still enjoyed herself but I know her ailment is causing her some discomfort. She hasn't been taking a full nap either - - she woke up at about 3:15 today. Hopefully that's because of the illness and not because she needs a shorter nap! Of course, I keep reminding myself that she's not going to take three hour naps forever.
A few other Calleigh tidbits:
- Last night when she was in the tub, she got on her knees and said she was going to pray to Jesus. I asked her what she was going to thank him for and she proceeded to say "Thank you for health." I think that Duncan always has her pray for that when he does her prayer so it apparently stuck in her mind. But it wasn't what I was expecting her to say!
- On Friday evening, Duncan and I spent some time going over baby names yet again - - still nothing resolved. Sabbath afternoon while I was upstairs, I could hear Duncan talking to Calleigh downstairs about all of the names we had picked out and which one did she like best. A few hours later, without any prompting whatsoever and just out of the blue, Calleigh says "I like ******** the best." (Please note amount of stars doesn't indicate anything). So if we end up going with that name, it will be because Calleigh picked it out. And we just might be going with it.
- Calleigh's latest favorite book is her "Samuel" book. This is one of the My Bible Friends books that Papa and Gigi gave her. I've been reluctant to bring them out too soon for fear that they'll get destroyed because the pages are paper (and yes, one page is already partially ripped). However, we've left the one book out that has the story about Samuel that she's really taken a special liking too and keeps asking us to read it to her. So the book has quickly become her "Samuel" book and she's been even bringing it in the van with her and looks for it first thing in the morning when she comes downstairs. I got out another one this afternoon and read the story of Baby Moses but it doesn't seem to have the same appeal as of yet that Samuel does.
Well, that's a wrap. Duncan is watching "24" and I kid you not, I'm about to go make french toast. And yes, I did eat supper at 6:30.

I do not recall that we ever went for an Easter egg hunt at Farfy and Grampy's. I remember watching the OTHERS go on Easter egg hunts, but we did not "officially" participate, I don't believe.
