This is just a short update because I'm very tired from travelling today. We're up in Scranton, PA to celebrate Thanksgiving with Duncan's family. Duncan's two brothers and his sister Kristin live in the area so we decided to hit the road this year. Ron & Elaine came with too. Boy, it's so much less stressful flying with a toddler and an infant when you have a whole crew along with you! I know the day before Thanksgiving has been notorious for being the busiest travel day of the year but you wouldn't know it from the day we had. I guess flying in general is on the decline so that must explain it. But we didn't have lines any where and the whole thing went off without a hitch, save the huge downpour that started just as we were checking in at curbside. We had a direct flight to Allentown on AirTran and it was great. Aubree slept most of the way and Calleigh watched movies the whole time. We got a rental car at Enterprise (The best rental car company in the business. There you go Rad!) and now here we are. We did have a bit of a challenge with bedtime. Aubree usually goes to sleep in the blink of an eye with the occasional whimper for a whole two minutes. This evening, not so much. She kept crying in her pack 'n play so I finally I had to let her fall asleep on the bed next to me. That happened around 10 o'clock when the usual bedtime is at 8:15. Hopefully we won't have the same issue tomorrow night - - and hopefully she won't wake up during the night. Calleigh took a while to wind down but what else is new?? Oh, and thankfully we have a suite at our hotel with a separate bedroom so at least we have a room we can hang out in while they're sleeping. We're at Duncan's brother Rob's tomorrow for the festivities. Calleigh will meet her 5-year old cousin, Jake, for the first time.
A quick Calleigh quote before I hit the sheets. We were at First Watch on Sunday morning as usual. Sitting next to us was a mother with her approximately 7-year old son. Calleigh looks over at them and then says loudly to us "They don't have a Daddy?" Don't you love toddlers??
The last picture here is at the playground yesterday. There was only one little girl there and she was playing hide and seek with her dad. She put her face against the pillar to close her eyes to count. Calleigh saw it and immediately went over and started doing the same thing - - including counting out loud!

The picture of Calleigh peering out the plane window is precious.
