Welcome!

I'm not sure what exactly has inspired me to start a blog. Perhaps it is my brother Shawn and his blog. Or maybe it's because I would like a forum where I can write about my daily musings. Either way, here I am. I actually have a daily planner that I write little things about my day - - something that I can use to keep track of baby milestones, etc. But the space is limited and my hand often gets tired writing. It is so much easier to type! So without futher adieu, I will jump right in.

Today was a great day. I say that because Ron and Elaine went to church with us for Easter. What a blessing to have them there. Although Pastor Morris did not speak, we enjoyed listening to Mark Reams although the sermon did not start on a high note. He started off by referring to the Patriots and how they won all of their games except the one that was most important in the end. Thanks for bringing up bad memories! Fortunately, the rest of the sermon was much better. Of course, I wasn't able to pay complete attention to it since I was in the "training chapel" (otherwise known as the mother's room) nursing Calleigh.

Speaking of Calleigh, she took a 2+ hour nap this afternoon. She only recently started napping in the afternoons much to my delight! I, of course, used the opportunity to take a Sabbath afternoon nap myself although I only slept a little over an hour. After that, I kept checking the monitor to see if she had woken up yet. Thankfully she still went to bed at her usual time (7:15) without much fanfare.

So what does a couple with a baby do on a Saturday night you ask? Obviously we can't go anywhere so we have to entertain ourselves at home. We watched a show we had DVR'd (I'll let it remain nameless since it is sortof a guilty pleasure). I think I'm going to go and clean the guest room and bathrooms. Such fun! But seriously, you have to take advantage of the baby sleeping to get some of the housework done. On that note, I better get to work.
