That's what Calleigh calls them a lot of the time...festibals. Whatever you want to call them, we hit a couple more of them yesterday. The first was at a church in Casselberry that started at 12:30. It was one of our favorite kinds where everything is free including the food. Once again, Calleigh got to jump around in a bunch of bouncy houses. They had some other games and a petty zoo. I think the highlight for her though was getting her face painted. Last week at the hospital, she only wanted it on her arm but this time, she decided it was face time. It was quite an elaborate butterfly that the lady painted on and it probably took a good ten minutes. I don't think I've ever seen her ever sit so perfectly still and silent for that long. Then of course, she kept wanting to touch it, I guess to make sure it was still there. There were quite a few kids dressed in costumes at the festival and every time Calleigh saw a girl dressed as a princess, she would run over to the her and tell them how much she liked her outfit and what a pretty princess she was. Most of the time, the girl would be very receptive to this but some of them would just look at her and be like "Who are you??" We ate lunch there since they had PB&J's and nachos and other goodies. Nothing like a free meal!

| This was a giant peanut pit and the kids had fifteen seconds to look for candy. She did find some which we confiscated. |

| The highlight for us was meeting "W" whom we quickly ascertained had the same kind phone as Duncan's new one. Nothing more exciting than phone talk with the former president. |

After nap time and washing off the butterfly (we convinced her to do it because there might be facepainting at the next festival), it was off to our very own church for their fall festival. This worked out perfectly since we aren't celebrators of Halloween. Thank goodness for that since I honestly don't know what parents do with the hoards of candy kids must be getting. Two or three pieces alone would probably send Calleigh into super hyper mode. Anyway, we enjoyed all the activities and Calleigh had an especially good time running around with Blake and Even Bergherm who are friends from Sabbath School. This was the second evening in a row that Calleigh was playing with the boys and it definitely didn't phase her at all (I wish they had been around this morning since Calleigh was in none-nap mode this afternoon). We had pizza there and then the evening culminated with a hayride pulled by a tractor (we've improved from the pickup hayride last week). The hayride was very crowded and Jennifer (the boys' mom) and I volunteered to say behind while the dads took the kids. But then poor Aubree had a fit and so she ended up staying with me. I guess it was for the best since it was a rather long ride and in the pitch dark. Incidentally, Calleigh did get a second face paint this time of a lion (which, on the way there, is what she said she wanted since she IS a lion).

| One room had a Veggie Tales movie playing and we thought we had lost Calleigh for the rest of the evening. Not quite sure how we pulled her away actually. |
Due to the festivities, bed time was a little delayed but that was okay. David came over to the watch the Patriots/Vikings game that we had taped earlier so we got started with that later than we had anticipated. Fortunately this time our DVR did not mess up and we were able to enjoy the entire game especially since they won.
Sabbath was a fun day too. I taught Sabbath School and thankfully Calleigh was on slightly better behavior than the previous time. After our naps, we went over to the Zbaraschuk's for a get together with them, the Isidro's and Johnson's. It's always a fun time for Calleigh (and now Aubree) playing with all the exciting toys at their house. They have a nice back deck area and they were sitting in cars and pushing each other back and forth as fast as they possibly could. Since boys are involved, things get a little wilder and crazier then they do when it's just girls playing and for a moment I joked that Calleigh may need a helmet but it was all good. Amy is into couponing (as well as Tangie who started not too long ago) so I was able to get in some good coupon talk. Oh, and Aubree told us two times while we were there that she had to go potty and she did indeed piddle two times. So she's not shy about using other people's potties.

| Kaleb and Aubree, the calmer siblings from their respective families. |
 |
| Maddie isn't really interested in Barbies just yet but darn it, Calleigh was going to try and convince her otherwise. |
 |
| There were some calmer activities. |
Today, we were back at the mall playground where I hoped Calleigh would get some good exercise. Apparently she didn't since she was back to her no nap problem this afternoon. She didn't run around quite as much and as long this week so perhaps it just wasn't enough. Of course, the problem is now compounded because she went to sleep almost as soon as it was bedtime instead of staying up for her typical 1.5 hours playing. I'm going to have a grand old time tomorrow morning trying to tire her out. Oh goody. I probably need to hit the sack now so I can get her up extra early in the morning!
Just one closing story. Calleigh asked me like three times today, "Mommy, do you know why the veggies (from Veggie Tales) have no arms, no legs, no bum bums, no boobies, or anything else? Because they're vegetables!!" It just cracked me up that she had to specifically mention the bum bums and boobies.

Hi Guys, after chatting with Duncan this morning, I decided to check out your blog, and see how you have been doing. Both Calleigh and Aubree are growing lots, and it looks like the Festibals are fun, next time you see the "W" say hi for me ;)
