This is definitely Aubree's favorite phrase of late. Whether it be wiping herself when she's on the toilet, combing her hair, or any number of other things, she'll always tell me "I do it." She wants to do it all herself. I remember this stage with Calleigh too. She's getting better at using phrases or sentences instead of just saying one word at a time. Yesterday Duncan was ironing and the ironing board collapsed (the kids weren't around fortunately) and obviously it made a loud noise. Aubree toddled right in and said "What happened?" We've caught her saying "Bless you" a couple times when someone's sneezed. And then Friday night I asked her to say I love you to me and sure enough, she says "I wuv you Mommy." I certainly wouldn't call her a Calleigh with her talking by any means but she's coming along slowly but surely.
My good intentions of posting something last night went awry. I'm blaming it on the time change. I'll explain in a bit. Sabbath morning found us partially bundled up on the way to church. Starting Friday morning, it got what I would call, cold! Northerners would call us wimps but once it gets into the 50's here, I start getting really cold. I don't know, it just feels different than the 50's up there. Anyway, when we woke up Sabbath it was 49 degrees so I finally felt like we were putting the hot temperatures officially behind us (we were wearing tank tops a mere week ago) although it's supposed to be back up in the lower 80's by weeks end. I really don't mind the coolness as long as I'm dressed appropriately. Church was very good as usual. We were very glad to be on to a new lesson in Sabbath School although I will miss Aubree doing her old memory verse! At church, we made plans with the Isidro's to go to their place for supper and fellowship. I was quite pleased with that plan because I was looking for something to do with the girls to keep them up late because of the time change. I figured if they stayed up at least an extra hour, maybe they wouldn't wake up at their same time in the morning (which, of course, would now be an hour earlier due to the clock falling back). The Bergherm's also joined us over their house so it was all the better of a play time with Blake and Evan there too. We roasted hot dogs on the fire and made smores which all made for an interesting time in the chillier weather. I was glad to have the fire! After eating, we watched some of the movie/documentary "Babies" which was so cute and very eye opening. By the time we finally left, it was after 9 pm and the girls didn't end up hitting the sack until nearly 10. I was very interested to see how it would all play out. Naturally, I was awake at the usual time, which was now 6:15 and I just lay there for what seemed like forever, wondering when they would wake up. Thankfully they made it all the way until 8:15 the new time so they did sleep an extra 45 - 60 minutes. Hopefully their clocks are now switched and we won't be getting an early wake up tomorrow morning.

| It could be 30 degree out and no doubt Calleigh would want her sleeves pushed up. |
 |
| Playing with Evan and Blake. Fortunately Evan hasn't held the bite Calleigh gave him when he was 7 months old against her. |
 |
| Aubree does look kind of cold in this picture. |

| Roasting weenies. |
This morning we went to First Watch with just the four of us as Ron and Elaine are up in Pennyslvania/Washington DC to visit the boys. We sure missed them especially since I had to order my own carbs (i.e., potatoes) instead of just getting theres! Later in the morning we headed to Forest Lake Education Center (FLEC) for their fall festival. Yes, it was another festival, most likely the last one of the year. Calleigh asked me tonight when we were going to another one and I had to break the news that today was probably the last one. She was so disappointed and said, "I think there's one more." Calleigh's favorites were the bouncy houses (surprise, surprise) and the playground while Aubree was completely smitten with the petting zoo. She really enjoyed the pig, bunnies, sheep and goats. I thought she was done at one point and cleaned her hands and then she raced right back to pet them some more. During that time, Duncan was in the playground with Calleigh and suddenly I see him waving his arms frantically at me. I was worried for a minute and then Duncan ran over to break the news that Calleigh had completely wet herself. Yup, in all the excitement, she forgot to mention she had to go potty. As it turned out, I hadn't brought a change of clothes with me so the playing had to come to unceremonious end. Duncan sacrificed his sweatshirt so we stripped her down, wrapped his sweatshirt around her bottom, and put her in the stroller. It didn't seem to phase her one bit. We at least stayed a little longer to get some lunch and the girls each had a corn dog on a stick for the first time. They both loved them and I was impressed the Aubree ate pretty much the entire thing.

| Aubree being silly with a cracker in her mouth. I think she was a little bored waiting for Calleigh to finish with the bouncy house. |

| Just before the little accident... |

All wrapped up in the sweatshirt but enjoying a PB&J nonetheless.

During their nap, the gang came over to watch the Pats/Browns game and the highlight of the whole thing was when we ate the homemade key lime pie that Megan brought with her. Need I say more?
Last week is a little bit of a blur at this point but I do recall that on Wednesday I had a trip to the dentist for my usual three month cleaning. Thursday we took Ron and Elaine to the airport (they return Wednesday after we leave so we'll go two weeks without seeing them) and Friday it was yard sale-ing as usual...although this time it was in much chillier weather. I've been somewhat frustrated with my yard sale-ing of late because it's becoming clear to me that it's much harder to find girl's clothes in sizes 4T and 5T then it was 2T and even 3T. I'm not sure why that it is but it is. I sure hope I'm not going to be forced to actually go out and buy NEW clothes. Have mercy.
I'm sure Calleigh has had some cute comments in the past week but the only one I can remember at this point is a few mornings ago when the girls and I were downstairs in the kitchen. I needed to use the facilities and as I usually do when they're eating breakfast, I keep the door open to keep my eye on them. Eventually, Duncan started coming down so I quickly went to shut the door and Calleigh was quite startled. Why did I need to close the door? I told her I needed some privacy and she told me quite emphatically, "But you're married!"
The girls and I leave for Boston on Wednesday morning so the next post will come to you from Boston (assuming I'm not too lazy that is). We return early Tuesday evening.
Have a good week.

| This was from last week but I just got the picture from Duncan's phone. I thought it was cute. |
 |
| Going for a stroll in the chilly weather. |
 |
| Daddy took them to the playground on Friday afternoon so I could clean. |
 |
| They may not play with a certain toy for weeks or months and then all of a sudden, it becomes popular again. Thus, the story with Minnie Mouse (free from a yard sale many months ago). Look at Aubree all dejected that she can't have it. |
 |
| Yay! Calleigh shared and Aubree is all happy again. |
