There IS a Sun!

Yay! We FINALLY got to see some sunshine. It happened on Sabbath morning and lasted until early afternoon. It was so nice. But then it clouded over and started raining again and Calleigh was very unhappy about not going outside after her nap. Finally, there was a little break and we decided to let her go out and she certainly did enjoy herself in the puddles. We gave up and just let her sit in them. Why not!! The other funny thing about all the rain is that Calleigh has started noticing umbrellas and she goes crazy over them. Even if it's just a picture of an umbrella, she screams (very loudly) "brella, brella."

We saw our new neighbors, Aunt Shirley and Uncle Clarence, at church on Sabbath. Calleigh was wearing the new dress that Aunt Shirley gave her. Aunt Shirley has been finding a lot of clothes for Calleigh at consignment and thrift stores and we have only been too happy to receive them! She's gotten quite a few nice things I must say.

Last night we had the roommates over and watched a movie called "The Bank Job." It was set in London and based on a true story from the early '70's. It was very good. Also good were the treats we had from TCBY. David had never heard of it before so we introduced him to the delight that is frozen yogurt. He wanted to go back for more - - I guess he liked it!

Today we introduced him to First Watch and he is now a fan of that too. I brought along five tomatoes from our plants here at home for Calleigh to eat with her meal. Duncan had the first one yesterday and Marlee stole the second one we had picked (surprise, surprise). Calleigh then ate the next ones and kept looking for more. So the good news is that the plants did not die although Shannon was greatly concerned about their well being while we were gone.

Well, I'm going to sign off here. I have a big project waiting for me upstairs. While the girls were camping out in our office starting mid-June, I hadn't been able to do much with organizing my bills and papers. So I need to go organize it all. Fun!

David had never heard of TCBY???

Trust me, we gave him a very hard time about that! They're all over the place up north. Megan even pointed out that they're in all the rest areas in Maine.

I don't believe there are any TCBY's in all of Vermont, however. And David was never big on Maine or New Hampshire. Other than going to Mass every once in a while, the Walls don't go very many other places in New England!!! (Something Sherrie freely admits and is proud of)

That is precious about David - but I remain firmly NOT a fan of TCBY!! And what did you mean about your new neighbors? I didn't know Shirley and Clarence moved!! Also, we watched The Bank Job and I was not a huge fan..but I admit, we fell asleep. I rewatched most of it, but I must have missed the flow of it.

Alison, I hope Shannon doesn't read your comments about TCBY or she may disown you. I can't believe you don't like it. That's CRAZY!

Hi, Even I know about TCBY and this young man is a College Graduate? Where has he been? In the WOODS OF VERMONT????? How sad that the Colleges don't teach about TCBY. When I went to School about 50 years ago we all knew about it. Shame, shame, shame DAVID!! Aunt Shirley
