Busy, Busy

This is a very short entry because I have a lot going on right now.  I'll have to do a big entry on Friday night to catch up.  But just a few short things.

First, my declaration that it was the end of nap time for Calleigh was apparently greatly exaggerated.  Perhaps the key is in having low expectations and then I'm never disappointed.  But since I wrote that it was over, which was last Friday night, she's only missed one nap (Sunday).  Go figure.  I'm just thanking my lucky stars.

Secondly, the picture here at the top is something that Calleigh presented to me while I was making supper tonight.  I had no idea she was even working on it.  I didn't know she knew how to spell "Daddy" from memory so I was quite impressed.  Clearly, the "Y" at the end needs a little work but I'm not complaining.

Finally, I had one of those moments today where I was desperately trying to interpret what Calleigh was saying.  We were talking about baby brother and Calleigh says "Is he going to wear prunie clothes when he's born?"  Of course, I had no idea what that meant so I had her say it again a few more times.  Finally she said, "You know, prunie clothes like we sent to Acadia?"  Ohhh!  The light dawned on me.  She meant "preemie."  And we actually never did send those preemie clothes to Acadia because she turned out not to be a preemie after all but I have a suspicion that baby brother will be.

So long until Friday.

What a great job! Seriously, how can she write like that already? You are going to get sick of me saying "Smarty pants." (=

Wish I could say she takes after Papa but other than her love for the snow and ice, it must come from others.
