Nova Scotia 2011 in Pictures

Here are some highlights of the trip...in no particular order.

How is a room a highlight?  Well, when someone has the brilliant idea to rearrange the room and suddenly it's 100 times more useable and cozy, it's a highlight.  Kudos to David and Yully.  This is one of our two main living areas.

Aubree and her pal Uncle Charlie.  He could cheer her up when no one else could.  Fortunately she wasn't nearly as crabby as she was last year.

Calleigh LOVED driving the boat!

Rick and his girlfriend, Ana, in Baddeck.  She's a keeper!

You have to take a little ferry over to the island in Baddeck.

On the island in Baddeck.  Little did we know that this would be virtually our only swim day.  We shot our wad right at the beginning.
Brady Brother.  He started smiling around week six and by this time, he was smiling in full force.
The other babies...Acadia, 6 Months
Tyson, 9 1/2 months
Zasha, 10 Months
Boy and Girl coming in November and October.  We all submitted three names to them to see if they could get any ideas.  We just might have been successful for Shannon.  We'll wait and see.
The ten cousins.  I need to get my workout started.
The ten cousins and their significant others.  Hopefully someday I'll be able to say the ten cousins and their spouses (right now it's true for nine of the ten).  No pressure though.
One of Steve and Kelly's dogs (can't remember which one) escaped and ran away.  Fortunately, Gracie, the lab, helped track her down deep into the woods.  Here she is just rescued.
One of my absolute favorite things to do...playing Dutch Blitz with the girls.  I could have stayed up all night playing but with Brady to feed at 5 am, we had to stop around 12:30.  On the last day, Rad played with us (after Kelly left) and for the first time EVER, I beat him.  It was a big day.
With 39 people here, we had quite a parking lot of cars.  Kind of sad because they're parked on the old volleyball court.
I guess it was a scary story.  As Aubree likes to say, "I'm scary" rather than  "I'm scared."
Calleigh and her favorite cousin, Mia.  Apologies to all Calleigh's first cousins but somehow a nine year old second cousin, is way cooler to a four year old.
The Shawn Braces.
The girls in the canoe going out to the raft.  I think it's such a sweet picture.
The awesome back deck that got built at the end of last year.
Brady and Acadia were dedicated on Sabbath, August 6.
I love these two close ups that someone took of the girls.

The inside of our cabin.  There's the potty sitting in front of the fan.  A lifesaver!
The creators of this year's Amazing Race....the Preggos, the baby brained Mom, and the Smarty.
Leg one of the race was a three legged race down the driveway.  It was a pretty muddy but that made it all the more interesting.
Peel two clementines and eat them but you had to peel it as one big piece.

Move an Oreo from your forehead to your mouth without using your hands.   Unfortunately Jack was never quite able to accomplish it.

Another task was finding answers to a questionnaire in the local newspaper.

Then you had to eat a Popsicle and use the stick to balance three dominoes on it for 15 seconds.

The winning team!  Camille even nursed Acadia during the race.   You'll have to excuse her crooked # 1.  I think the race must have really worn her out.
Brady chilling at Point Michaud Beach.  Sometimes you just need to get away from it all.
My prayer is that these will still be there next year.
My thanks to everyone who let my pilfer their pictures for this even though you didn't actually give your consent.

I was going to do this exact thing... Go through everyone's pics and find the best ones and just do a photo blog on Novi... But I need to get a regular blog out and I'm working all weekend...don't think it will happen. But it was lovely to see yours!
