Wednesday found us at Interlachen for Aubree's check up. As expected, Aubree is still small but she's healthy and that's the important thing. Here are her stats:
Aubree Calleigh
Height 31 inches (50 - 75th) 32 1/4 inches (90th)
Weight 20 lbs, 4 oz (10th) 23 pounds (50th)
Head 18 1/2 inches (75 - 90th) 18 3/4 inches (90th)
We were able to answer in the affirmative all the milestones they should be reaching by this age...not that I was concerned that she wasn't. And it sure was nice to be able to say she's walking. As for that, she's walking all the time now. Crawling has gone the way of the rotary telephone. Yay! Anyway, they did ask whether she could say three to six words and I confirmed that she could. Calleigh immediately launched into a monologue of which words she could say and which ones she couldn't, etc. Calleigh was quite involved in the whole checkup you could say. Interestingly, Aubree remained cheerful the whole way through the exam until the very end when the doctor laid her down on the table to look at her stomach. Obviously she wasn't cheerful at the very end when she had the shots but that's to be expected. She was only crying for about 60 seconds so it really wasn't bad. Plus, we got ice cream afterwards so she probably thought it was worth it. Calleigh had announced that we were going to go to Bruester's after the checkup for ice cream but I told her that we would only go if Aubree had shots. So I'm pretty sure I saw Calleigh praying for Aubree to get shots. Ha! One final note about the exam, I asked about Aubree's mark from her surgery. The doc said it would fade away but could take up to two years.

The rest of our week was pretty standard. Groceries, yard sale-ing, etc. At one of our yard sales on Friday, we almost saw a fight break out between a "shopper" and the person running the yard sale. They were two ladies in their 50's from my rudimentary assessment so they weren't your typical troublemaker types. But there they were yelling at each other and although I could barely understand what they were saying, I gathered it had to do with the shopper breaking something. And then, right in front of us, the person's whose yard sale it was, yells, "Well, that's a witch (except it started with a "b"). Get off my property now." Calleigh was just starring with mouth agape and I took that as our cue to leave. Thankfully she didn't ask me what that word meant.
As I mentioned last night, the cousins came over for supper. David's big news was that he got a new job. He's transferring from his job at the hospital in Case Management to be the social worker for the liver portion of the Florida Hospital Transplant Center. He's very excited about it and so are we!

This morning at Sabbath School I shot the movie of Aubree taking up the offering...something I wished I had gotten last week. So I suppose it's not quite as exciting as her first offering by herself but hey, it's something. You can see what a zoo our Sabbath School is. We've noticed that Aubree seems to be quite taken with Kohlden Isidro. He sat in his car seat through the entire program and then Aubree went right over to him afterwards. She was saying this and that to him (nothing that I could understand) and then she leaned in to kiss him. She did it several times and finally, he figured he'd had enough and started crying. The Isidro's came over her this evening for supper and both the twins were sitting side by side in their car seats when they first got here. I noticed that Aubree made a beeline for Kohlden and started to repeat her earlier behavior. I was curious if she knew which was which or if it was just a coincidence that she went to him. Anyway, we have to keep a close eye on her because she can easily bug the two of them with all her kissing, poking, and prodding. At one point, Aubree, Calleigh, and Braelyn were all huddled around Maddy's car seat. Braelyn said something to the effect of "This is my sister." So Calleigh says to her, "Well, this is my sister, Aubree. You can touch her if you want." Calleigh and Braelyn had a wonderful time playing up in Calleigh's room. They did dress up, played with felts, among other things. The beauty of it was that we didn't have to once break up any disagreements, sharing problems, or other issues three year olds have.
